Francesca Main is the publisher of Orion imprint Phoenix. She has launched the careers of numerous bestselling and award-winning writers and published major hits including The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton, This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay, The Names by Florence Knapp and The Wedding People by Alison Espach. She has also taught editing and creative writing for various organisations, including the Arvon Foundation and Singapore Writers Festival.
Francesca previously had editorial roles at Picador, Simon & Schuster and Hamish Hamilton/Penguin. She won the British Book Award for Editor of the Year in 2015 and was shortlisted for Imprint and Editor of the Year in 2026.
